Students:

  • Are you just starting to learn to play?
  • Do you need a jump start before school music starts?
  • Do you already play, but think you would benefit from some individualized help on your instrument?

Adults:

  • Ever wish you had played a musical instrument when you were younger?
In a recent Gallup poll, more than 85 percent of Americans who never learned to play a musical instrument said they wish they had.

Or, if you already play an instrument, but want to improve your skills…

Dorsey Music has music instructors for these instruments:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Viola
  • Cello
  • Voice
  • Flute
  • Saxophone
  • Clarinet
  • Trumpet
  • Trombone
  • Percussion
  • Mandolin
  • Ukulele
  • Oboe
  • and Organ
Students enrolled in private music lessons are more likely to be successful in music.  Studies repeatedly find that music promotes self-confidence, sociability, poise, coordination, self-respect, achievement, patience, focus, persistence, concentration, creativity, self expression, relaxation, work ethic, satisfaction and fun.

It is important to find an instructor who is not only competent, but also compatible with the student. A teacher who has both the personality and highest expectations for the student will be the most help in achieving his or her musical goals.
